These are real driving times, not the optimistic ones the maps give you. The last stretch to Piscinas is unpaved, but an ordinary car handles it.
Arbus is also a stage town on the Santa Barbara Mining Trail: stage 7 arrives here from Montevecchio and stage 8 sets off towards Gonnosfanadiga. Walkers can stay two nights without moving their bags.
The locked garage for bikes and motorbikes
There’s a garage that locks, where you can leave bicycles and motorbikes — not a landing, not a shared courtyard. If you’re travelling with e-bikes you can charge them, but ask in advance: in that case we meet you in person. If you’ve got four kilos of bicycle with you, it’s the first thing you need to know.
Who it suits
People who walk or ride and want one base for several days rather than a new bed every night. People coming for the mines, who’d rather be underground in winter, when it’s better. Families who want the real Sardinia and not a holiday village. And anyone arriving out of season who doesn’t want to find everything shut.
Check-in, check-out and house rules
Check-in is self-service and can be done at any hour: we send you the instructions before you arrive. If you’re travelling with bikes, arrange it with us beforehand and we’ll open the garage in person. No smoking indoors. How far is the sea?
The nearest beach, Marina di Arbus, is thirty minutes away. Scivu is forty, the Piscinas dunes forty-five.
How many people does it sleep?

Yes. The single-night rate is higher per night than for longer stays, but it’s available.
Is there somewhere to keep bicycles?
